Your Perception Is Your Reality - Online Learning

Your Perception Is Your Reality – Online Learning

Introduction

One of the beautiful things about online learning is that it allows you to be in control of your own education. You can learn what you want when you want, and how you want. This level of flexibility can be a huge benefit for students who need to juggle work, family, and other commitments with their schooling. It also enables students to tailor their education to fit with the way they learn best.

However, there are some challenges that go along with online learning as well. One of these is what I like to call “perception versus reality”. This is in regards to how you evaluate your progress and success while taking online coaching in India. While it may feel like progress takes longer and is more difficult to measure. It doesn’t mean you are really failing. The truth is, it just takes time for the benefits of your efforts in online courses to begin showing up on a larger scale!

One excellent way to help make progress with your education goals even when it seems like things aren’t moving along as quickly or as well as you’d like. It is to consider the ways that your perception of a situation may be impacting how you perceive progress success. To help illustrate this point, I want to share two different scenarios with you:

Scenario # One

  • You just started taking online coaching. These are new things for you and it takes some time for you to get used to the idea of taking classes online. At first, it feels like a foreign experience and an unfamiliar way of getting your education. As you begin working through assignments and interacting with fellow students in discussion forums, however, things start feeling more normal than they did at first.
  • As this transition continues over several weeks, you start to see the benefits of online learning. You are able to learn at your own pace and it allows you to work around other commitments that might be on your schedule. It’s also really fun!

This is a great thing for sure. But remember–your perception of what this experience means may not match up with the reality of your experience. In this scenario, it’s likely that you are feeling pretty good about yourself and the things you have accomplished so far in online courses! You may also be excited at how much progress you’ve made since starting out a little while ago.

Scenario # Two

  • After a number of weeks of working through online courses. Still feeling a little uncertain about what it all means. Not seeing the results you had hoped for and nothing is really clicking in terms of how well things have been going with your education.
  • You may be thinking that there isn’t much point in taking online classes because everything seems so difficult. Don’t feel like you’re gaining any knowledge. This is where it’s important to remember that your perception of the situation may not be an accurate reflection of what is happening. In this scenario, it’s likely that you aren’t feeling very good about yourself or your progress in online courses. You may even be starting to question the value of your education. Whether it’s worth all of the work you are putting into things.

Analysis

If either one of these situations sounds familiar, this is where I want to encourage you–don’t give up! There will always be challenges that arise when taking classes online. But don’t let that hold you back from achieving your dreams. You have to persevere and keep going!

It may feel like it’s taking a long time for results or progress with online courses. But remember, it won’t be long before things start to fall into place and make more sense. In fact, there are many people who have found incredible success with their online education and it’s all because they didn’t give up when things got tough.

Conclusion

So, if you are feeling down about your progress in online courses, just remember that you aren’t alone! There are others out there who understand what you are going through and who are working hard to achieve their own dreams. And, finally, don’t forget that your perception is your reality! So make sure you stay positive and focused on the good things that are happening in your education journey.
